On Friday, July 11, the two boxing champions will face off live on Netflix in the epic conclusion to one of the greatest rivalries in sport. The fight headlines the first-ever all-women’s professional boxing card at Madison Square Garden — a fitting stage for the defining chapter of a trilogy that’s already made history.

Last time around, undisputed super lightweight champion stepped back into the ring against unified featherweight champion Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano. In 2022, pound-for-pound stars Taylor and Serrano made history as the first-ever female fighters to headline Madison Square Garden, in front of a sold-out crowd. The bout ended in a narrow split decision in favor of Taylor, and both fighters earned Sports Illustrated’s Fight of the Year and The Ring’s Event of the Year for 2022 honors for 2022. In the co-main event, Katie Taylor faced Amanda Serrano for 10 two-minute rounds in the Undisputed Super Lightweight World Championship. The fight was intense and bloody, lasting 10 two-minute rounds, and the pair opened old wounds — literally — in one of the most brutal boxing matches in modern history. In the final round, Taylor landed a right and left, but Serrano took control. Taylor took a heavy body shot but responded with a powerful counter that rocked the ring. In the end, Taylor remained the undisputed super lightweight champion of the world after all three judges scored the bout 95-94 in her favor.
