Kerry Washington is heading back to Washington, DC.
More than 10 years after receiving her first Emmy nomination, for Shonda Rhimes’s beloved political thriller Scandal, Washington is starring in and executive producing another story of elite misbehavior in our nation’s capital: An Innocent Girl, the latest movie from director Jaume Collet-Serra (Netflix hit Carry-On, The Commuter).
An Innocent Girl follows a young and ambitious woman who is seduced by a high-powered DC couple. She’s soon drawn into a dangerous world of sex, power, and murder.
Joining Washington in the cast are Emmy nominee James Marsden (Dead to Me, Paradise), Chloe East (The Fabelmans, Heretic), and Academy Award nominee Colman Domingo (Rustin, Euphoria). Other cast members include Kim Dickens (Deadwood, Gone Girl), Paul Sparks (Boardwalk Empire, House of Cards), and Rob Corddry (Childrens Hospital, Hot Tub Time Machine).

An Innocent Girl is written by Michael Mohan (The Voyeurs) and Marc Guggenheim (Arrow), with current revisions by Carly Wray (Mad Men). Washington will also executive produce alongside Guggenheim, Mike McGrath, and Scott Greenberg. Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter serve as producers for Berlanti/Schechter Films.
Production on An Innocent Girl is about to begin. While you wait, why not fire up one of Washington’s previous films, like last year’s Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery or Tyler Perry’s The Six Triple Eight?
