Our heroine of Beauty in Black is no longer responding simply to Kimmie. Going forward, “That’s Mrs. Bellarie to you, motherfuckers.”
Season 1 of Beauty in Black left off on a cliffhanger, with ultra-rich businessman Horace Bellarie (Ricco Ross) introducing his sons Roy (Julian Horton) and Charles (Steven G. Norfleet) to their new stepmother — and their new boss — Kimmie (Taylor Polidore Williams).
“Fans are in for a wild ride as Kimmie steps into her new power as the head of Beauty in Black and the Bellarie family,” Perry teases. “This season, she’s a force no one will see coming—and no matter how many try, nothing can stand in her way.”
Season 2 picks up right where Season 1 left off, and you can watch the first eight minutes of the new season now before Part 1 premieres on Sept. 11. What are you waiting for, y’all? Go on and click play.

As you can see in the clip, Horace wants to teach the former Chicago club dancer the ropes of leading a powerful family. “You can’t trust none of these motherfuckers,” he says. “It’s about leverage.”
But first things first: As is typical of her character, Kimmie wants to ensure that her loved ones — including her little sister, Sylvie (Bailey Tippen), and her best friend, Rain (Amber Reign Smith) — will be protected by the change in circumstances, too.
How will Kimmie navigate her new role in the family? How is her former boss Jules (Charles Malik Whitfield) going to handle their roles being reversed? And … where is Angel (Xavier Smalls)?!
“I can’t wait for fans to discover just how crazy and unpredictable this new season is,” Perry tells Tudum. “All their favorite characters return, and the wild twists are more thrilling and jaw-dropping than ever before.”
Find out all that and more when Beauty in Black Season 2, Part 1 premieres Sept. 11, only on Netflix.
