At first glance, Bling Empire is all about the glamorous lifestyles of some of the real-life crazy-rich Asian socialites of LA, but anyone who’s watched all the episodes can tell you that the reality show’s appeal runs way deeper.
Throughout three seasons, the show has tackled issues of Asian representation and unfair beauty standards, as well as heady subjects like Christine’s fertility journey and Kevin’s sobriety. At its heart, Bling is really about the relationships between this larger-than-life group of people — whether it’s Christine and Anna’s feud or the ebb and flow of Kevin and Kane’s friendship.

“In the beginning, people were more diplomatic with one another, and now the true colors of different personalities come out,” Anna tells Tudum.
Since filming wrapped up on Season 3, the cast has been decompressing (Mimi and Don made a trip to Vietnam; Christine and Dr. Chiu traveled around France and Italy) and launching their next ventures (Kevin is hard at work on his beverage company). And along the way, some friendships have disintegrated, while some have strengthened.
We caught up with the Bling Empire cast to find out what they’ve been up to and where they all stand with each other.
🤐 SPOILER ALERT 🤐
Well, for starters, Kim explains it best: “A lot of friendships got tested, and some people aren’t friends anymore. But at the end of the day, we have such a great, fun and unique group.”

Christine, for one, tells Tudum she’s learned plenty of lessons from each of her castmates, whether or not they’ve remained friends.
“I have learned that friendships cannot be forced, and some people, regardless of outward commonalities, are just not meant to get along (Anna),” she says. “I’ve learned that hurt people hurt people, gossip can be extremely harmful, that deflection and projection are sometimes results of personal insecurity (Kane). I’ve learned that sometimes friendship involves blind loyalty, but I’m not here to judge it (Kelly). I’ve learned that sometimes it’s easier for people to just follow the opinion of others without seeking out the truth or facts for themselves (Jaime). I’ve learned that having a little brother can be so much fun (Kevin) and that sometimes you can do everything for someone and it’s still not good enough (Mimi).”
And for herself, she says, “I’ve learned that it’s far better to have a handful of close, supportive friends than a crowd of friends who are fair-weathered. Seasons 2 and 3 have most importantly taught me how to be a better person — to others and to myself.”

Season 3 shows a deeper side to Kevin and Christine’s friendship, one they say is just as close-knit off-screen.
“I’ve grown very close to Christine, someone that I wasn’t shown as being close with in the first two seasons,” Kevin says. “We joke around like brother and sister, and what I really love about this friendship is that we know what it feels like to be ostracized by high school cliques, and we fell into our own friendship. Anna is back to herself and we joke and have fun when we see each other.”
Kane reveals that he continues to be close to Mimi and her family, as well as Kelly and Kim, both of whom he recently went to Vegas with.

After a surprise reunion in Paris (thanks to hopeless romantic Christine), Kevin and his ex, Devon, are back on and still going strong. They moved into a new place together in LA and even started a production company together, called ALLS (Asian Lead Love Stories) Productions.
“Our trust and relationship has grown stronger than ever, and I can’t wait for the world to see her natural beauty and witty personality that I fell in love with,” Kevin says.

While Devon is enjoying downtime with Kevin, she says the experience of filming as a new member of the Bling crew was “overwhelming in the most exciting way.”
“Christine was the first person I met from the cast,” she says. “From the beginning, I wondered about her: Who is this woman, going all out to help me and Kevin reconnect? I thought it was bizarre. But as soon as I met her, I sensed a very sweet, giving person. However, I can’t say I feel the same about some of the other cast members I’ve met.”
Following their heart-to-heart moment in Season 3, Kelly says she and her mom are taking small steps every day to communicate and grow closer — and her mom has even finally taught her the secret family hot sauce recipe.
Oh, and she has a new boyfriend named Will, with whom she’s starting a nonprofit for empowering the AAPI community.
“[It’s] a cause we’re both extremely passionate about,” she says.

In addition to buying and selling real estate with the Oppenheim Group, the Season 3 finale teased a new venture for Kane: acting. And from the sound of it, he’s already loving it.
“With acting, you don’t actually bring the drama home; you follow the script and you show up and just act, whereas on a reality show, it’s a little different,” he says. “I would’ve been nervous many years ago even being on camera or in public, but I’ve found that acting is actually fun, and I’m looking to explore different roles going forward.”
