    Your Favorite Shows Take Center Stage at Netflix’s FYSEE LA

    The two-week festival celebrates the standout series of the year across Los Angeles from May 17 to June 2.

Get ready to celebrate the shows you love in the city you love. Netflix is bringing a new, two-week festival to Los Angeles with FYSEE LA, a citywide festival featuring exclusive events, conversations, screenings, and more. Emmy voters can experience a lineup of buzzy titles across Tinseltown — from Santa Monica to Eagle Rock, Hollywood to Pasadena, South Central to the Valley and beyond — and at Netflix theaters. Additionally, FYSEE LA will present a dedicated festival headquarters with special marathon screenings and a destination for crafts. 

Some of the acclaimed series, documentaries, and animated programs that will be spotlighted include Adolescence, Squid GameNobody Wants ThisBlack MirrorThe Four SeasonsArcaneThe Diplomat, and Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney, which will open the festival on May 17 at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, California. 

During FYSEE LA, Netflix will support local businesses impacted by the wildfires by highlighting restaurants, coffee shops, florists, and more as it brings voters to some of the most iconic locations in the city. FYSEE LA will also proudly celebrate Los Angeles productions, spotlighting several made-in-LA series including Forever, A Man on the Inside, Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, Nobody Wants This, and Running Point, among others.

When is FYSEE LA?

FYSEE LA is taking place in Los Angeles from May 17 to June 2. Some of the events include:

May 17

  • Black MirrorA series of special afternoon conversations with the casts and creative teams behind “Eulogy,” “Common People,” and the first Black Mirror sequel, “USS Callister: Into Infinity,” at the Television Academy Saban Media Center Wolf Theater.
  • Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney: Prepare for laughter on opening night, as Emmy Award–winning comedian John Mulaney anchors an evening celebrating the critically acclaimed talk series at The Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood.

May 18

  • The Diplomat: Celebrate the sophomore season of the acclaimed drama series with a special event at the Huntington Library in San Marino with creator Debora Cahn, Keri Russell, Allison Janney, and the incredible cast.
  • A Netflix Documentary Spotlight: Go behind the scenes with the year’s most impactful documentaries. Join the teams from Will & HarperGone Girls: The Long Island Serial Killer, Bad Influence: The Dark Side of Kidfluencing, and more at Netflix’s Tudum Theater.

May 19

  • The Four SeasonsJoin Tina Fey, Will Forte and the cast and creative team of The Four Seasons for an evening of laughs at the Aero Theatre in Santa Monica, followed by an oceanside reception.

May 22

  • Big MouthExpect big laughs, big feels, and probably a few awkward moments as Nick Kroll and the Big Mouth cast and creators gather at the iconic Egyptian Theatre for a special premiere celebrating the show’s eighth and final season.

May 27

  • AdolescenceStephen Graham, Owen Cooper, the cast and artisans come together to discuss the vitally important, critically acclaimed limited series at the Television Academy Saban Media Center Wolf Theater.

May 30

  • Squid GameRelive the drama and let the games begin with a special evening featuring director Hwang Dong-hyuk, Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun and the rest of the cast and artisans who brought the show to life at The Egyptian Theatre.
  • Running Point: Cheer on the Los Angeles Waves and join Kate Hudson, Mindy Kaling, Ike Barinholtz, David Stassen and the cast and producers of Running Point for a screening and conversation at the Los Angeles Lakers’ training facility in El Segundo.

June 1

  • Nobody Wants ThisFall in love all over again and hang out with your favorite Nobody Wants This cast at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. Join Kristen Bell, Adam Brody, Justine Lupe, Timothy Simons, and Jackie Tohn for a special live podcast taping of The World’s First Podcast, hosted by creator/executive producer/writer Erin Foster and executive producer Sara Foster.

June 2

  • Simone Biles RisingJoin Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles on closing night of FYSEE LA on Monday, June 2 for an intimate conversation with director Katie Walsh to discuss the award-winning docuseries at The Hollywood Athletic Club. The Closing Ceremonies of FYSEE LA will feature a special performance by a local gymnastics group.

Stars appearing at FYSEE LA throughout the festival include Uzo Aduba, Kristen Bell, Simone Biles, Adam Brody, Ted Danson, Tina Fey, Paul Giamatti, Jamie Foxx, Kate Hudson, Allison Janney, Rashida Jones, Mindy Kaling, Nick Kroll, Lee Jung-jae, John Mulaney, Aaron Pierre, Keri Russell, Tracee Ellis Ross, Sarah Silverman, and many more. 

What else can we expect from FYSEE LA?

The festival will also partner with Netflix Is a Joke Festival for an all-star night of comedy on Thursday, May 29 at The Comedy Store in Hollywood. The event will include stand-up comedy sets, a can’t-miss live panel conversation with Mike Birbiglia, Michelle Buteau, Andrew Schulz, Tom Segura, and Sarah Silverman, and a marquee conversation with Jamie Foxx moderated by Corinne Foxx.
