The fourth and final season of Manifest is taking off “soon,” according to a teaser clip presented by star Josh Dallas during Netflix’s Geeked Week.

The drama will be moving to the streamer for its final run this fall. The series — centered around the mysterious disappearance of Montego Air Flight 828 and its reappearance five years later — premiered on NBC in 2018, where it ran for three seasons before being canceled in 2021. But thanks to a strong and passionate viewership, the story of Flight 828 will find its conclusion on Netflix. The first three seasons of Manifest are currently available to stream.

When is the Manifest Season 4 release date?

The fourth season of Manifest will premiere on Nov. 4, 2022. The final season will consist of 20 episodes and will be split into two 10-episode halves.

Where did Manifest Season 3 leave off? (Warning: spoilers ahead)

Manifest Season 3 ended with the murder of Grace, Ben’s wife and the mother of Olive, Cal and Eden, at the hands of Angelina. Grace is comforted by a grown-up Cal before she dies. Meanwhile, the tail fin, a piece of wreckage that may hold the key to unlocking the mystery of Flight 828, is returned to the ocean. After the tail fin is returned, Flight 828 pilot Bill Daly reappears in the wreckage of the plane (being housed by the secret Project Eureka task force) before he and the entire plane disappear in a flash of light.

Details on the plot are scarce, but here’s the official description for Season 4 of Manifest: When Montego Air Flight 828 landed safely after a turbulent but routine flight, the crew and passengers were relieved. Yet in the span of those few hours, the world had aged five years — and their friends, families and colleagues, after mourning their loss, had given up hope and moved on. Now, faced with the impossible, they’re all given a second chance. But as their new realities become clear, a deeper mystery unfolds and some of the returned passengers soon realize they may be meant for something greater than they ever thought possible in this emotionally rich, unexpected journey into a world grounded in hope, heart and destiny.

In November 2021, actor J.R. Ramirez tweeted a photo of the season premiere script, entitled “Touch and Go.” The first episode is written by showrunner/creator Jeff Rake and Simran Baidwan.

During Geeked Week, Dallas shared a two-minute teaser clip from the new season, which shows Michaela Stone, a passenger on Flight 828 and an NYPD detective, exploring a strange glowing shipping container.
