Monster: The Ed Gein Story, the latest season of Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan’s anthology series, follows the godfather of all serial killers — and is available to stream now. In the 1950s, Gein (played by Charlie Hunnam) haunted the frozen fields of rural Wisconsin, killing and desecrating the bodies of multiple women. His crimes went on to inspire multiple classic horror films, including The Silence of the Lambs, Psycho, and The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. 

“I wanted to get as close as possible to who Ed was, to do him justice, and for this thing to feel authentic,” Hunnam tells Tudum about his portrayal of Ed Gein. “This is going to be the really human, tender, unflinching, no-holds-barred exploration of who Ed was and what he did. But who he was being at the center of it, rather than what he did.”
