Michelangelo's David can take a seat, because the search for the ultimate physique is back with Physical: 100. That’s right, the South Korean competition series that brings together the strongest of the strong for the most grueling battle of their lives is bulking up for Season 2.
Debuting in January, Physical: 100 became one of Netflix’s most popular non-English unscripted programs ever. The new season, however, is raising the bar in every regard. To start, the size of the universe challenging each participant’s strength, agility, endurance and willpower is growing even bigger than before. For reference: The set in the first season spanned two entire soccer fields.

“We are very grateful Physical: 100 received so much love from fans all across the globe, and we paid attention to all the comments and feedback,” says director Jang Ho-gi. “We decided to retain the essence of the show — finding the perfect physique— while introducing fresh elements. This is our way of expressing our gratitude to the fans of the show.”
In Season 2, a new batch of 100 contestants at their physical peak will enter the arena and compete to be the last one standing after an elimination-style fight to the finish. And just like last season, anyone, regardless of age, sex, nationality or weight class can win the hefty cash prize and be awarded the title of having the “ideal physique.”
“I’m honored to meet a lot of contestants whom I feel are overqualified,” Jang adds. “And I’m also collaborating with many experts to make sure we have even more electrifying and well-designed quests that will leave audiences on the edge of their seats.”
