Taro Sakamoto is just trying to retire in peace. His notorious past, however, won’t let him. With its signature blend of slice-of-life mundanity and thrilling action, SAKAMOTO DAYS is back for Season 2. Sakamoto once again faces wave after wave of assassins who threaten the quiet life he cares about so deeply.

The popular manga written and illustrated by Yuto Suzuki was adapted for the screen in January 2025 and released in two parts. Season 1, Part 1 introduced Sakamoto, the greatest hit man of all time, who retired after falling madly in love with Aoi, a convenience store clerk. The two get married, have a daughter, and open a modest store in a quiet town. However, Sakamoto cannot help but be lured back into his old violent life — will it upend everything he’s so carefully built? Season 1, Part 2 was released weekly on Mondays starting July 14, and after 11 episodes, it’s clear that Sakamoto still has work ahead of him.

Below, check out the new art for SAKAMOTO DAYS Season 2.
