Selling Sunset Season 9 wastes no time getting into what the series does best: high-end real estate and high-stakes drama. 

In the opening moments of the new season, which launches Oct. 29, Chrishell, Chelsea, and Emma tour a jaw-dropping $21 million mansion as a classic Selling anthem blares (“I like it, I like it, I like it a lot / You know I’m gon’ make it pop”). 

After sharing some personal updates, including the latest on Chelsea’s divorce from her husband, which she describes as “the most difficult time of [her] life,” the agents address the “huge elephant in the room” — aka Nicole and the rumor she spread about Emma having an affair with a married man. 

No one is ready to forgive or forget — Chrishell questions if calling Nicole a “cancer” at the office is too harsh, while Emma opens up about suffering both personally and professionally. “It was super difficult what she put me through,” she says in the clip above. “When your name is tied to something like that, it’s extremely damaging.” 

As for Nicole, she isn’t exactly backing down. Prepare for major fireworks and an explosive, expletive-laden Thanksgiving dinner (highlighted in the Season 9 trailer) that changes the group dynamic forever. “[This season] was a lot for me, that’s for sure,” Nicole tells Tudum. “But seeing how it all played out — and as difficult as so many situations and scenes were for me — I’m proud of how I stood my ground.”

“Season 9 started right back up where we left off last year, with everybody at odds with one another,” series creator Adam DiVello adds. “There was a lot of strife in the office and a lot of hurt feelings, so we pick up and try to get past that as quickly as possible.”

That means new drama and new faces, as The O Group welcomes Sandra Vergara into the stiletto-heeled fold. “At first, you think, ‘Oh, is it going to be catty?’ Because it’s big-personality central, but they were all very kind to me and very welcoming,” Vergara says about the other women in the office. “Season 9 definitely brings some unexpected twists. There are some jaw-dropping moments you won’t see coming.”
