It’s all in the hits, it’s all in the hits. Adam Sandler’s short-tempered yet charming golf champion returned to the links in Happy Gilmore 2 and smashed viewing records. The most-watched title of the week claimed No. 1 on the English Film List and amassed 46.7 million views in its first three days — the highest opening for any Adam Sandler Netflix film ever. It was also the biggest US opening weekend of all time for a Netflix film. Longtime fans and pop superstars alike couldn’t wait to reunite with everybody’s favorite golferHappy Gilmore fans also logged plenty more hours with the original movie, which rose to No. 3, with 11.4 million views. Fans looking for even more of Sandler tuned in to Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation, which swooped in at No. 7 on the list, with 4.5 million views.

Not to be outdone, the girls of HUNTR/X continued kicking demon butt in KPop Demon Hunters, which rose in viewing again, racking up another 26.3 million views in its sixth week. Not only did the movie claim the No. 2 spot on the English Film List, it also now holds the honor of being the most popular Netflix animated film of all time. The film’s influence can’t be stopped — the K-pop trio were a global sensation once more, as they danced their way to the Top 10 in all countries ranked. Plus, HUNTR/X’s “Golden” climbed back up to No. 1 on the Billboard global charts.

From hunting demons, to competing in life-or-death children’s games, the K-Wave continued to make a splash around the world. Korean thriller Squid Game Season 3 drew in audiences for another 4.6 million views in its fifth week, while maintaining the No. 1 spot on the Non-English TV List. The dystopian K-drama Trigger, from director Kwon Oh-seung, also earned a spot on the list at No. 4 with 2.9 million views, and the psychological thriller Wall to Wall, starring Squid Game’s Kang Ha-neul, claimed the No. 1 spot on the Non-English Film List with 7.8 million views.

Meanwhile, Tyler Perry fans made sure to say “hellur” to the iconic Simmons family matriarch. Clocking in from the Bahamas, Madea’s Destination Wedding enjoyed the view at No. 6 on the English Film List, with another 4.6 million views in its third week.

Special agent Kyle Turner (Eric Bana) took viewers into the wilderness to investigate a suspicious death at Yosemite National Park in the mystery thriller UNTAMED, which spent another week at No. 1 on the English TV List. The series was a global hit, as viewership more than doubled in its second week, receiving another 26.1 million views, as well as a Top 10 spot in 92 countries. Turner may have solved the mystery of Season 1, but his story isn’t over just yet because UNTAMED has been renewed for a second season

The great outdoors isn’t the only setting for a good mystery, though. The German thriller Brick — in which residents of an apartment building are desperate to escape their homes after all the exits have inexplicably disappeared — stood sturdy at No. 2 in non-English films (7.1 million views).

Whether it was an investigation into one woman’s unsolved disappearance or a deep dive into emergency medical care, audiences continued to find interest in documentaries. The true crime series Amy Bradley Is Missing held strong at No. 2 on the English TV List (10.2 million views), followed by Critical: Between Life and Death, which premiered at No. 7 (2 million views). And in English film, Trainwreck: P.I. Moms — the tell-all documentary investigating an early 2000s reality TV series about private eye soccer moms — debuted at No. 5 (4.8 million views).

In another exciting week for anime, the Japanese series My Melody & Kuromi premiered in the No. 2 spot on the non-English TV List (4.3 million views), and was joined by Season 2 of DAN DA DAN at No. 3 (3.1 million views) and Tougen Anki at No. 10 (1.6 million views).

Fans of the classic DC Comics series didn’t sleep on the King of Dreams, who led the final season of The Sandman to No. 4 on the English TV List (3.3 million views). And finally, once you hear them, there’s no ignoring the seductive call of Sirens. The dark comedy series, starring Meghann Fahy, Julianne Moore, and Milly Alcock — and plenty of pastels — made a midsummer return to the Top 10 at No. 8 (1.8 million views).
