‘Welcome to Eden’ Season 2, Where Paradise Is Hell

Will Zoa save Gabi from the nefarious Eden Foundation?

In the first season of Welcome to Eden, when a handful of young adults get an invite to an exclusive festival, they jump at the chance to take a vacay from their troubled lives. But, like we learned from Fyre Fest, cool parties that promise you everything tend to be a bit of a letdown. In the case of the mysterious isle of Eden, the letdown is… being kidnapped for the rest of your life while a cultish megalomaniac tells you she’s actually saving you from the downfall of mankind.

As Season 2 of the sci-fi drama begins, Ulises, the Eden Foundation’s head of security, is found dead — and Eden’s leader, Astrid, wants justice. Zoa, one of the captives, abandons her escape plan when her little sister, Gabi, shows up. And Zoa’s fellow captive, Charly — well, it seems he may have finally gotten away. Maybe. With Astrid on course to create “paradise” — aka unrelenting hell for everyone there — no one is safe. But at least there’s a boatload of hip new recruits to show around.

What happens in Welcome to Eden Season 2?

As Zoa and Charly try to get away by hopping on a boat leaving Eden, Zoa sees her sister, Gabi, arrive — she’s been recruited along with several newcomers. So Zoa swims back to shore only to be caught by Nico — she convinces him he’s the reason for her return. And Charly, who had the best chance at escape, is nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, Astrid is doubling down on her vengeful commitment to “bettering” Eden — especially with Ulises dead and influencer África imprisoned after getting too close to Astrid’s husband, Erick. Ibón (who killed Ulises to save Zoa) and Eloy (who helped get rid of Ulises’ body) both live in fear that the Eden Foundation will find out what they did. While Gabi and the newcomers get to know the place, Astrid takes a liking to one of them — for better or worse.

Where does Welcome to Eden Season 2 take place?

The series takes place in Spain and was filmed in Barcelona, Lanzarote and Teruel.
