After a week of nearly biblical rainfall, the Los Angeles skies finally cleared for the star-studded premiere of Kenya Barris’ feature directorial debut, You People. But that didn’t mean there wasn’t some stormy weather on-screen.

The outrageous romantic comedy stars Jonah Hill (who co-wrote the screenplay with Barris) and Lauren London as an interracial, interfaith couple who are forced to awkwardly navigate a seemingly endless supply of family land mines. It features a murderer’s row of A-list comedy all-stars, including Eddie Murphy, Nia Long, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, David Duchovny, Sam Jay, Molly Gordon, Rhea Perlman, Elliott Gould and Mike Epps. Check out the who’s who from the Tuesday night LA premiere below.
Barris’ modern-day meet cute kicks off when Hill’s Ezra Cohen accidentally gets into the car of Amira Mohammed (London), mistaking her for his rideshare driver. Before you know it, they’re on their first date and discover that they have more in common than either of them first suspected. Still, they’ll have to convince each other’s hilariously meddling families before they can take the next step in their relationship.
You can check out You People on Netflix beginning on Jan. 27.
