The time will soon come to stroll through the halls of Hillerska one last semester: Young Royals is officially returning for a third and final season. Since we first met Simon (Omar Rudberg) and Prince Wilhelm (Edvin Ryding) in 2021, things haven’t always been easy for the schoolboy lovers. From secrets to sex tape scandals, their relationship has been repeatedly put to the test. Season 2 was no exception, with Simon and Wilhelm dealing with the aftermath of their leaked tape (and that shocking twist in the finale).

Now, Wilmon fans will finally find out if it will be endgame for their favorite pair. “I’ve always imagined Young Royals being told in three parts and because of the fans’ dedication to our story, we get to tell the last one,” head writer and co-creator Lisa Ambjörn tells Netflix. “The ending has been clear to me from the start and I’m so thankful and honored to get to finish this saga as intended.”

Returning to the throne are Ryding, Rudberg, Frida Argento as Sara, Malte Gårdinger as August and Nikita Uggla as Felice. Last season was all about royal revenge, but can some of the characters find redemption in Season 3? Only time will tell when the final chapter of Young Royals returns.
