Ahead of the launch of Netflix’s first-ever English language medical procedural, Pulse, on April 3, you can watch the opening scenes right now. It’s a whirlwind — in every sense of the word.
From Emmy winner Carlton Cuse (Lost) and writer Zoe Robyn, the drama stars Willa Fitzgerald as Dr. Danielle “Danny” Simms, a third-year resident and rising star on Maguire Medical Center’s team. The first five minutes of the series, above, introduce us to Danny and her colleagues, including her supervisor, chief resident of emergency medicine Dr. Xander Phillips (Colin Woodell), third-year emergency resident Dr. Sam Elijah (Jessie T. Usher), second-year surgical resident Dr. Tom Cole (Jack Bannon), ER nurse Luis Dominguez (Arturo Del Puerto), and Danny’s sister Dr. Harper Simms (Jessy Yates).
As the staff arrives at work, it soon becomes clear that the storm outside isn’t all they’re going to have to contend with.
Watch the first moments above, and tune in April 3 to see all 10 episodes of Pulse.
