Undersea Audio Reveals Full Impact of Titan Implosion

Sixteen minutes after communications from the Titan ceased, an unexpected sound reached an underwater recording device 900 miles from the Titanic wreck. The chilling audio, believed to capture the aftershock of the submersible’s implosion, is featured in the just-released documentary Titan: The OceanGate Submersible Disaster. This clip features Sydney Nargeolet — daughter of renowned French oceanic explorer and Titanic expert Paul-Henri Nargeolet, who died on board the Titan — who shares personal reflections on the tragedy’s impact in the documentary.

The U.S. Coast Guard is currently investigating the disaster. We spoke to Titan director Mark Monroe to hear about what’s happening now with Titan and OceanGate
