[Kerry Washington as Adams] Atten-tion! Soldiers, I am Captain Charity Adams. Welcome to the Women's Army Corps.
[dramatic music playing] Gentlemen, my wife and I have been talking about the problems we are having with the mail and our soldiers' morale. Mr. President, this assignment has proven to be a logistical nightmare. We even tried the Women's Army Corps.

[woman] Should you open it? The postal battalion?
[sighs heavily] They think the only thing we good for is to deliver some damn mail.
[man] Would you like to see the hangars?
[Adams] How many are there?
[man] All of them.
[music halts]
[wind whistling] Oh my God.
[dramatic music continues] Ladies, we have been ordered to provide hope. The soldiers have not heard from their loved ones, and their loved ones have not heard from them. When there is no mail, there is low morale.
