Take Your Daughter to Work Day has never had higher stakes.
In his first TV role ever, Arnold Schwarzenegger is the star and executive producer of the upcoming action-comedy spy series FUBAR, created by Nick Santora. “Everywhere I go, people ask me when I’m going to do another big action comedy like True Lies,” says Schwarzenegger. “Well, here it is.”

“FUBAR is, by far, the most surreal project of my career,” says Santora, who serves as showrunner and executive producer. “I grew up watching Arnold Schwarzenegger films –– I’d hit my dad up for a few bucks so I could race to the movies and see the biggest star in the world on the big screen –– so creating the first scripted television project for Arnold is unbelievably exciting for me. The thing I always marveled at was how Schwarzenegger could be funny while still kicking ass... that’s why I wanted FUBAR to be a hysterical, CIA-spy comedy mixed with heart-stopping action! And it is all that — and more. I’d love to elaborate with more details, but sorry, it’s classified.”
Watch the trailer for the series above and read on below for all the unclassified details we can share about FUBAR now:
Schwarzenegger stars as Luke Brunner, a veteran CIA operative on the verge of retirement. But ringing in the golden years is put on hold when he’s called up for one last undercover mission: saving another operative that just so happens to be his daughter. The series tackles universal family dynamics set against a global backdrop of spies, action and humor.
Alongside Schwarzenegger, Monica Barbaro stars as his daughter, Emma. Fresh Face Milan Carter, comedian Fortune Feimster (Sweet & Salty, Good Fortune) and You Season 3 alum Travis Van Winkle are part of Luke’s team of experienced agents, while Fabiana Udenio plays the ex-wife that Luke’s still pining for. The series also features Jay Baruchel, Aparna Brielle, Andy Buckley, Barbara Eve Harris and Gabriel Luna.

The show gets its title from an acronym — watch the video below for one explanation of what it means.

Find out how things get “totally FUBAR” when FUBAR premieres on May 25. Take it from Schwarzenegger: “FUBAR will kick your ass and make you laugh — and not just for two hours. You get a whole season.”
