Everybody’s Parisian daydream looks a little different. For Emily Cooper, it’s wine at 11 a.m. with her bestie Mindy, flirting with the hot chef in the apartment under hers, and picking up a couple thousand new Instagram followers before calling it a day.
But we’re here to talk about you. In Netflix Stories: Emily in Paris, your Old World fantasies of romance and haute couture come to life wherever you go. You won’t be alone, either: Emily, Mindy, Alfie, and Gabriel are along for the adventure, and are happy to help guide you around the City of Love. Just so long as you spill the tea, naturally. Like the hit show of the same name, Netflix Stories: Emily in Paris is a classic fish-out-of-water tale. If the fish were a customizable main character and the water was Old Paree. Your MC arrives in the City of Lights for a once-in-a-lifetime career opportunity as the first digital editor for Enchanté, the most influential fashion magazine in Paris.
It won’t be easy, though. Your boss Lea needs serious convincing that this new direction is even a worthwhile venture for the storied, trendsetting publication. To prove its — and your — worth, she lays down a challenge: You’ve got four weeks to land 2 million followers. Succeed and you’ll get to keep your job and stay in the city. After all: No one goes to Paris to get fired.

Good thing you’ve got some help from familiar faces. As the game begins, fresh off the airplane, you find yourself locked out of your apartment and run into Emily. Just like on the show, the digital Emily is super helpful and just wants to see her friends do well in life and love. And she’s got a massive soft spot for fellow Americans in Paris given all her trials and tribulations.
From dinner at the top of the Eiffel Tower, helicopter rides to Champagne, and trips to Cannes, Netflix Stories: Emily in Paris pulls out all the stops to give you a whirlwind tour of the land of baguettes and cheese. Maybe best of all? Going backstage for an insider’s look at Paris Fashion Week. Don’t forget to post, though!

Netflix Stories: Emily in Paris is a mobile, narrative adventure based on the hit Netflix rom-com series. You create an avatar, pick your gender and pronouns, then go about your way in Paris. You’ll be rubbing elbows with designers, partying on yachts at the Cannes Film Festival, and maybe even help rescue a 200-year-old bookstore from financial ruin.
Your professional life is full of twists and turns, too, and Lea has a few surprises up her well-tailored sleeve. At key points throughout the game, you’ll be prompted to draft social media posts, but don’t worry if you’ve got a case of writer’s block. All you need to do here is pick a pre-written caption for pre-selected photos, then watch the followers roll in.
You’ll tap your way through conversations with the show’s cast, and hopefully find love and your happily-ever-after before the credits roll. Unlike other Netflix Stories games, the choices for who you fall for are a bit more limited in number, but you’ll still have to play it cool and make your mind up about which potential soulmate you pick.

It wouldn’t be Emily in Paris without a few love triangles, and, well, here you’ll have a few suitors — for two of them, gender can be assigned by you based on your dating preferences — to choose from as you navigate your love story. Of course, there’ll be complications and entanglements you could’ve never seen coming. Depending on the dating preferences you set while creating your character, Alexandre will be replaced by Audrey, and Ophelia by Charlie.
Nope! Netflix Stories: Emily in Paris was designed to be a stand-alone experience. You might not immediately know who the supporting cast is, but by the time you reach the final set of decisions they’ll feel like lifelong friends.
