A vacation to the beautiful island of Mallorca takes a dark turn when two sisters get scammed by an intense and charismatic club owner. What starts as a seductive chance encounter becomes a tangled web of lies that leaves everyone questioning one another’s motives. The new German-language film is an erotic thriller for fans of steamy romance, crime aficionados, and anyone who wants a weekend getaway but can’t easily dip to Spain.

Directed by Sherry Hormann (Guys and Balls, 3096 Days), Fall for Me stars Svenja Jung, Theo Trebs, and Victor Meutelet, who American viewers will recognize as Camille’s (Camille Razat) younger brother from Emily in Paris. Yes, the one Emily (Lily Collins) hooks up with before she finds out he’s only 17. From scandal to scandal, as the French say!

What happens in Fall for Me?

After a breakup, Lilli (Jung) heads to Mallorca, Spain, to visit her younger sister, Valeria (Tijan Marei) who lives on an old property belonging to their family. What should have been a healing vacation filled with familial reconnection takes a sinister turn when Valeria introduces Lilli to her new French fiancé, Manu (Meutelet). The newly engaged pair plan to open a luxury bed-and-breakfast on the island, and Valeria needs Lilli to agree to the sale of the family property in order to fund the venture. Lilli, however, can’t bear to let go of the last piece of their mother after her tragic passing years ago.

The rift between the sisters deepens when Lilli meets Tom (Theo Trebs)  at a club and has a steamy one-night stand. Things take a complicated turn, though, when Tom is hired by Nick (Thomas Kretschmann), a local real estate developer, to honeypot Lilli into signing over the family property. As the chemistry between Lilli and Thomas grows, so does the secrecy — but the truth never stays hidden for long.
