





MK Enterprises, the contract-killing agency where stone-cold assassin Gil Boksoon works, has three strict rules: 1) don’t kill minors, 2) don’t take jobs from other agencies and 3) always finish a kill. But when Boksoon’s life as a single mother intervenes with her career, she breaks the rules and puts a target on her back. Kill Boksoon, from The Merciless and Kingmaker (2018) director Byun Sung-hyun, stars Cannes best actress winner and four-time Baeksang Art Awards winner Jeon Do-yeon and four-time Baeksang Art Awards winner Sul Kyung-gu.

When we meet Boksoon, she’s fighting a yakuza to the death. After battling him with an axe, she decides to save herself some time and shoot him point blank — the grocery store is closing soon. Boksoon is not only MK’s best assassin, she has a 15-year-old girl at home. As Boksoon contemplates retiring to spend more time with her daughter — who’s facing troubles of her own — she’s faced with a moral dilemma on the job that makes her a target for her fellow assassins.
The movie takes place in South Korea. It was filmed in Bucheon, Jeonju and Seoul.
