Lauren Speed-Hamilton is Love Is Blind royalty. So it’s only natural for her podcast to have the juiciest scoop on the pod squad. As expected, We Have the Receipts came through with, well, the receipts this week, revealing the most exclusive Love Is Blind news yet: After the Altar is coming this fall to check back in on the Season 2 cast. The Chicago-set series will debut Friday, Sept. 16, ahead of a “very dramatic” Love Is Blind Season 3, which will also arrive later this fall. The After the Altar Season 2 trailer, which just dropped, promises a juicy three-episode ride with its always-unfiltered cast.
After the Altar Season 2 will follow in the steps of the Season 1’s “mini teaser series,” as Lauren calls it, and reconnect with its cast a year after their Love Is Blind weddings. “I’m interested to get back up into the Season 2 mix and see who’s still in love, who started dating each other, who broke up — all of the above,” Lauren tells co-host Chris Burns. We’ll find some couples celebrating their first anniversaries, and other cast members — whose relationships crumbled at the Love Is Blind altar, or long before — working through their single life.
But even Lauren and Chris know After the Altar can’t ignore the Shake-sized elephant in the room. “Will Shake show up? That’s what I want to see,” Chris says of the Season 2 lightning rod. “That’s a good question. Will he show up? I feel like he will. I feel like he’s going to show up and still not give a damn,” Lauren theorizes. While the trailer reveals whether Shake will return to his Love Is Blind stomping grounds, it’s unclear if he will “embrace the villain” arc, as Chris and Lauren believe. Still, the We Have the Receipts hosts are also wondering where we’ll find his ex, Deepti.

“I’ve even noticed with Deepti and Kyle, they seem to be hanging out. I don’t know what’s going on there,” Lauren says. Could a possible romance be in store for the Love Is Blind singles?
Creator Chris Coelen certainly makes it sound like burgeoning romance could be afoot for his cast. “I think the participants on Love Is Blind Season 2 discovered so much about themselves — and their honesty in sharing their journeys has been raw and real,” he tells Tudum. “With After the Altar, it’s so much fun to see those journeys continue. Whether it’s new love or new twists in their stories, with this cast, I’ve come to expect the unexpected.”
Listen to the fall preview episode to hear more Love is Blind gossip — and hear which upcoming reality shows Chris and Lauren would love to join themselves. Between exciting autumn series like competition The Mole, real estate gem Buying Beverly Hills (starring Real Housewives of Beverly Hills husband Mauricio Umansky) and chaotic beach romance Dated and Related, Lauren could even see herself tapping into her own villain era on one of these fall titles. We know someone, ahem, would be proud.
