Although ballet dancer-turned-actress María Pedraza has only been acting professionally since 2017, the Spanish star has already headlined three of Netflix’s fan-favorite series: In the tense heist thriller Money Heist, she portrays a brave teenage hostage; in high school murder mystery Elite, she's a black sheep overachiever; and in the Magic Mike-inspired crime drama Toy Boy, she's an up-and-coming lawyer.
Essentially, Pedraza can do it all: Want to watch sexy bank robbers? Check. Want to watch sexy rich kids? Check. Want to watch sexy... strippers? Also check. Read on for more about all of Pedraza's Netflix roles, and which series you should feast your eyes on next.
While Pedraza's character, Alison Parker, is an integral part of the plan to rob the Spanish Royal Mint, she's not actually in on the heist. Instead, as the daughter of the British ambassador to Spain, she's a pawn that the Professor and his gang of bank robbers use in order to skirt the attention of law enforcement. A slightly unpopular 16-year-old, Alison is taken advantage of by a classmate (he tapes their hookup and posts it online), leading her to bond with some of the folks holding her hostage. Despite the major power imbalance, they’re there to remind her that she's better than the jerk who filmed her without her consent.
Pedraza's follow-up to the heist thriller was the teen drama Elite, a Gossip Girl-esque murder mystery set in a well-to-do high school attended by Madrid high society. The actor plays Marina, a high schooler with a major secret who (spoiler alert) winds up dead. Throughout the course of the first season, the series flashes back to the events leading up to her murder in order to figure out which of her Las Encinas classmates is the killer.

María Pedraza in Elite
Don't think about the fact that only a year before this mystery series premiered, Pedraza was playing an unlucky teen who was killed off in Elite. When you cut toToy Boy, you’ll just have to pretend that she attended the shortest law school ever, and is now a (very adult) lawyer taking on her first big case. InToy Boy, Pedraza plays young law associate Triana, a just-graduated twentysomething who takes on a pro bono case at her high-powered Marbella law firm. She helps free a male stripper wrongly accused of murder and then proceeds to fall in love with him as she works to clear his name. (Trust me, you would too if you watched him dance.)
