Netflix is home to Emmy Award–winners The Turnaround and The Comeback: 2004 Boston Red Sox, as well as The Clubhouse: A Year With the Red Sox. Now fans will also be able to watch live MLB games on Netflix for the first time.
Beginning in 2026, Netflix will stream multiple live MLB events each year, marking a major expansion into the sport. From 2026 to 2028, Netflix will kick off each MLB season with a singule game on Opening Night, the evening prior to a full slate of traditional Opening Day matchups. Additionally, Netflix will air the T-Mobile Home Run Derby, the most-watched skills competition in sports, going down the day before the MLB All-Star Game, as well as an additional special event game each year, starting with MLB at Field of Dreams in 2026.

The 2026 MLB at Field of Dreams game will feature All-Star outfielder Byron Buxton and the Minnesota Twins taking on eight-time All-Star and two-time MVP Bryce Harper and the Philadelphia Phillies.
The 2026 T-Mobile Home Run Derby will be held at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia on Monday, July 13. The Derby debuted in 1985 as part of MLB’s All-Star festivities and has featured memorable performances from the game’s top sluggers over the last 40 years including three-time champion Ken Griffey Jr. and current stars like 2025 NL home run leader Kyle Schwarber, Giancarlo Stanton, Judge, Harper, two-time champ Pete Alonso, Juan Soto, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., and reigning champ Cal Raleigh.

Major League Baseball formed a new three-year media rights agreement with Netflix, ESPN, and NBCUniversal. The agreement will extend MLB and ESPN’s long-term relationship to 39 consecutive seasons and marks the return of regular MLB games on the NBC network for the first time in 26 years.
