For the first time in four years, Major League Baseball returned to the Iowa cornfields for a regular season game at the iconic Field of Dreams ballpark.
Live on Netflix, MLB at Field of Dreams presented by John Deere was inspired by the 1989 Academy Award–nominated film and brought together the Minnesota Twins and the Philadelphia Phillies for much more than a nostalgic game of catch.
Prior to first pitch, Field of Dreams star Kevin Costner lent his voice to set the stage for the upcoming game.
Who won the MLB at Field of Dreams game?
Behind a trio of home runs from All-Star sluggers Kyle Schwarber and Brandon Marsh, the Phillies defeated the Twins 7-1. Right-handed pitcher Aaron Nola earned the win for Philadelphia, while Taj Bradley took the loss for Minnesota in front of 8,000 lucky fans in Iowa.
With his 36th and 37th home runs, Schwarber remains the MLB leader on the season. He finished as runner-up to St. Louis Cardinals’ Jordan Walker at the 2026 T-Mobile Home Run Derby live on Netflix in July.
As MVP of the MLB at Field of Dreams game, Schwarber earned a Netflix letterman jacket and a platter of Iowa corn.

The MLB at Field of Dreams game took place amidst the cornfields of Dyersville, Iowa, on the baseball diamond where Field of Dreams was filmed.
MLB Hall of Famers emerge from the cornfield
In a special pregame celebration reminiscent of the climax of Field of Dreams, 26 MLB Hall of Famers emerged from the outfield corn to make an iconic walk to the infield.
Schwarber and fellow MLB All-Star Byron Buxton of the Twins introduced the diverse roster of living legends, including former stars with ties to either team, such as Steve Carlton, Mike Schmidt, Joe Mauer and Jim Thome, among others.
Two members of the 2026 MLB Hall of Fame class — Andruw Jones and Jeff Kent — threw out ceremonial first pitches prior to the game.
According to MLB.com, this was the most Hall of Famers to attend any Major League Baseball game since the 2008 All-Star Game.
Special-edition uniforms for MLB at Field of Dreams
The Twins and Phillies sported retro uniforms for the MLB at Field of Dreams game.
The Twins’ special-edition home uniforms were a 1960s look that included a white jersey with navy blue pinstripes, with the Twins navy blue script across the chest, plus the team’s famous “Minnie and Paul” logo sleeve patch, and a navy blue cap with the interlocking white T and red C.
The Phillies’ special-edition gray road uniforms were inspired by the team’s 1939–41 look, featuring a red Phillies script, a sleeve patch from 1939 to commemorate what was then believed to be baseball’s 100th anniversary, and a navy blue hat with a bold red P in the team’s historic font.

Bryce Harper swings a corn bat
Known for his unique cleat and accessory designs, Phillies star Bryce Harper certainly got the corn memo for the MLB at Field of Dreams game. From custom yellow and green Under Armour cleats to a yellow arm sleeve, the nine-time All-Star looked right at home in Iowa. But it was his corn-inspired bat — featuring kernels, melted butter and Harper’s initials — that truly set him apart.
Prior to the game, he shared news of the bat with Netflix’s Lauren Shehadi: “I don’t know if it’s approved or not, but I’m going to use it.”
