SummerSlam 2026 is coming, and the two-night extravaganza is shaping up to be an unforgettable weekend with high-stakes title matches and longtime-coming clashes between some of the WWE’s most prominent, dominant Superstars.
Business picked up when CM Punk made a shocking return to Raw on July 6, stepping in for an injured Cody Rhodes and defeating Sami Zayn to become the Undisputed WWE Champion in front of his hometown crowd in Chicago. Now, Punk will defend his newly acquired gold against Rhodes at SummerSlam.
Elsewhere, there are other matches locked in with marquee names stepping into the squared circle. Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins cut their teeth together as members of The Shield more than a decade ago. Now they’ll clash for the World Heavyweight Championship in a rivalry that’s getting increasingly intense as their war of words has turned physical.
