In You Season 5, Episode 6, a surprising connection is revealed: Bronte (Madeline Brewer) was once close friends with Guinevere Beck (Elizabeth Lail) during their college years — back when Beck was dating Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley). As the truth is revealed, it becomes clear that Bronte’s entire persona is a carefully crafted ruse, orchestrated to exact revenge on Joe for what he did to Beck.
At the same time, Joe is forced to confront the full weight of his past now that it’s publicly exposed. From the murders to the lies and infidelities, his sins are no longer hidden in the shadows. But while Joe may have crossed the point of no return, one question remains: Is Kate redeemable? And what does redemption even look like in the twisted universe of You?
