Rumi is the indomitable leader of HUNTR/X, the demon-hunting K-pop girl group whose fierce, synchronized choreography masks their true mission: protecting the human world from supernatural forces. Born a cambion — half human, half demon — to a legendary K-pop idol mother and a demon father, Rumi’s very existence is a contradiction. Her mother raised her to fight darkness, but her demonic blood gives her a power that is both a weapon and a curse. Rumi’s life is a balancing act between the idol she’s supposed to be and the monster she’s terrified of becoming.

Rumi enters the movie shrouded in secrecy and discipline, a half-demon masking her true nature behind impeccable choreography and a righteous mission. Her clashes with Jinu challenge her to face the duality within herself, showing her that suppressing her demonic side only gives it more power. By the story’s end, she embraces both halves of her identity, harnessing her inherited demon-ness as a force for good and proving that who you are doesn’t dictate what you can fight for.
“Because when we win, the honmoon will be sealed.” (50:00) — said when Rumi tries to convince Jinu to join her side.
“I spent my whole life keeping this secret, this shame of what I am, and the more I had the shame, the more it grew and grew until it started to destroy the one thing that gave me a purpose: my voice.” (56:00) — said when Rumi tells Jinu that he has helped her accept her half-demon ancestry.
“No. No more hiding. No more lies.” (1:14:06) — said when Rumi finally confronts Celine about the secret she’s felt forced to keep.
