A dog laps up Merlot from Jessica’s wine glass. Giannina wipes out in her wedding dress. Lauren and Cameron lay eyes on each other for the very first time. There are certain sights Love Is Blind fans simply can’t unsee — and they wouldn’t have it any other way.
To celebrate the five-year anniversary of the global dating experiment, the fans took control. You scoured your group chat history and walked down memory lane to cast your vote for the most iconic Love Is Blind moments, from the romantic to the outlandish. We’ve tallied up the results to find out which you loved the most.
Co-hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey revealed your top five moments during the Season 8 reunion, but that wasn’t nearly enough to cover the highs, lows, and “whoas” that have made this franchise what it is. For five years, we’ve laughed, cried, and cringed as couples fall in love, fight, and (sometimes, in very specific cases) break up to pursue an old flame. Let’s celebrate together by remembering the biggest, most explosive moments of all, counting down to a deliciously spicy No. 1.

The reveal is always a vulnerable time. Sometimes, the magic is immediate, and sometimes, the jitters take over, making each second more excruciating than the last. During Season 7, Leo and Brittany fell into the latter category. From their mismatched body language to his fumbling attempts to cuddle while she giggled nervously, nothing about this meeting went the way you’d hope. The two did not make it to the show’s honeymoon but did explore their relationship on their own trip before breaking things off. As for the reveal itself, Brittany spoke for all of us: “This is definitely one of the most awkward moments of my life.”

Much like Jessica’s Merlot, this one’s vintage. Back in Season 1, fans were shocked to see the regional manager’s golden retriever, Payton, lapping wine out of her glass. And so, one of the franchise’s foundational viral moments was born. For the record, Payton is still alive and well, and as revealed during the Season 7 reunion, Jessica is now married to podiatrist Benjamin McGrath. The two welcomed a son, Dax, in 2023, which certainly deserves a toast. But please, let’s limit this one to humans only.

None of us saw this one coming — especially not poor Aaliyah, who struck up a romance with Uche in the pods, and a friendship with Lydia in the women’s lounge. Uche and Lydia’s past relationship was the big secret that turned Love Is Blind Season 5 on its head. Long story short: The two had previously dated, and while Uche claimed Lydia knew he’d be in the experiment, she denied she had any knowledge he was entering the pods. The entanglement proved to be too much for Aaliyah, who fled the pods before later reuniting with Uche (on camera) for a debrief over lunch. Lydia might’ve gotten grilled during the reunion, but Uche never even showed up.

Never have mandarin oranges been so controversial. Cole and Zanab didn’t see eye to eye on much of anything by the end of Season 3. Their personal tension came to a head during the reunion, after Zanab said “No” at the altar. On stage at the reunion, Zay admonished Cole for the way he spoke to her when he saw her grabbing two Cuties oranges as a snack before dinner during a long day of filming. As with most things she brought up, he appeared blindsided and begged producers to roll the tape if they had it. In the end, they obliged, revealing a conversation that rocked the LIB fandom to its core.

There were red flags aplenty between Deepti and her fiancé, Abhishek, aka “Shake” in Season 2 — not least of which were all those comments he made about her reminding him of his aunt. But when it came time to walk down the aisle, Deepti refused to let the relationship, or Shake’s feelings, define her. Instead, she told him in front of all their family and friends that she was choosing herself because she deserves “somebody who knows for sure.” That’s the kind of confidence and self-love to which we should all aspire.

Our favorite couple from Season 6, Johnny and Amy seemed to be on the same page on just about everything. Their only real hurdle was figuring out birth control. Amy had never taken birth control pills, and at one point, the two discussed whether Johnny might be willing to get a vasectomy. But condoms never seemed to factor into the conversation — leading many fans to wonder if the couple had somehow never heard of them. Johnny has since revealed that the idea did come up, but regardless, their back-and-forth has become one of the most cherished oddball conversations in LIB history.

Nancy and Bartise might not have worked out in Season 3, but fans still think she dodged a bullet, considering that her other pod suitor, Andrew, appeared to use eye drops to fake sadness in a confessional interview after she dumped him. After seemingly pouring half the bottle into his eyes, he turned his face to show the cameras his stained cheeks and said, “I never thought I could care for someone that would bring me to tears.” The show went and aired the whole thing — pulling back the curtain on the apparent ruse.

These two didn’t exactly close out Season 7 on the best of terms, and this scene captured the moment when it all really began to fall apart. Hannah’s frustration with Nick had been building for weeks — pretty much from the second he jumped on that duck statue at the resort in Mexico. She seemed convinced he couldn’t keep up with her rigorous cleaning schedule, her personal-finance expertise, and her general maturity. During an argument about Nick’s conversation with his pod ex (and Hannah’s best friend) at a cocktail mixer, Hannah said the quiet part out loud, telling Nick she’d taught him “everything” he knew and turned him from a boy “into a f***ing man.”

We all kind of knew that Zack and Irina weren’t going to make it to the altar. After seeing the fireworks between him and Bliss in Season 4, his proposal to Irina felt like a choice he’d later regret. Sure enough, Zack and Irina began growing apart from the moment they saw each other. The reveal was stilted enough — remember Irina complaining about Zack’s stare? — but things got really painful in Mexico, where she dodged his kisses. Luckily, Zack was able to get lunch with Bliss and smooth things over, eventually walking down the aisle and dancing to Lee Ann Womack, as fate intended. Last year, the couple welcomed the first LIB baby.

Tiffany and Brett seemed perfect from the start of Season 4, but one pod faux pas threatened to break them up forever. During a late-night meeting, Tiffany accidentally hit “snooze” on an emotional speech in which Brett had just called her his “perfect match.” Naturally, this made him question how seriously she took their relationship. But as Tiffany later revealed, she has a history of falling asleep at inopportune moments. “My friends have a photo album of me called ‘Sleeping Beauty,’ and I have a habit of falling asleep in the most random places,” she says. When she explained this to Brett, he forgave her, and now, they’re among the most beloved couples of all time — further proof that sometimes, we all deserve the benefit of the doubt.

In one of the buzziest pod moments of all time, Chelsea basically broke the internet when she told Jimmy about her celebrity doppleganger. “It’s just because I have dark hair and blue eyes … It’s MGK’s wife or his girlfriend,” she says, to which a stunned Jimmy responds, “Megan Fox?!” And, while Chelsea and Jimmy didn’t ultimately tie the knot, the moment has lived on — even making its way to Megan Fox herself. For what it’s worth, Chelsea had a message to pass along to the star if they ever crossed paths one day. “You are not just MGK’s wife or girlfriend to me. You are a queen. I had no business comparing myself to you,” she told Tudum at the time, jokingly adding, “We are not even the same species.”

There was no shortage of drama in Love Is Blind Season 7’s wild reunion. But few details got more attention on social media than Garrett stepping up his style game. Between the season finale and reunion time, Garrett grew out his hair, walked at Fashion Week, and embraced patterned shirts as an integral part of his wardrobe. Although many of us suspected the wifey effect, Taylor emphasized on stage that even before they met, Garrett “had a latent interest in fashion.” As he put it on stage, “Being married to a very fashionable and beautiful woman, I finally found someone worth looking good for.”

It was bad enough when Jeramey admitted to meeting up with his pod ex, Sarah Ann, in a bar parking lot for hours. But when his fiancée, Laura, revealed that she’d seen from his phone’s location that he was in Sarah Ann’s part of town around 5 a.m., the love triangle instantly became one of Season 6’s biggest dramas. Jeramey and Sarah Ann revealed during the season’s reunion that they’d been dating on and off for a year, before eventually splitting. Laura, meanwhile, will forever remain a hero and an icon to many for handling the breakup so directly.

They’re the couple that started it all — whose relationship felt meant to be from the moment they met. In Season 1, Lauren and Cameron proved that the instant chemistry they felt in the pods had real staying power. Not everyone has a perfect reveal, but that’s exactly what Lauren and Cameron got. When the doors slid open, you could see in their eyes that they were going to say “I do” — a massive spoiler in the best possible way. She said he looked “like Prince Charming,” and he matched that energy by saying he couldn’t wait to marry her. The two are still happily married, living proof that sometimes, love really is … well, you know.

Talk about confidence! Jessica was pretty fed up with Jimmy’s indecisiveness by the time he broke things off to get engaged to Chelsea in Season 6, but none of us could have predicted she’d come armed with the greatest break-up line of all time: “When you see and realize what you missed out on, you are going to choke,” she said. “You are gonna need your EpiPen to open up your airways, because you are going to be in disbelief.” As if that wasn’t hilarious enough, she finished him off with a “Thank you for the experience” — perhaps the coldest outro of all time.
