Miraculers, assemble! Miraculous: Ladybug & Cat Noir, The Movie premieres on Netflix July 28. Based on the 2015 series created by Thomas Astruc and Nathanaël Bronn, the animated feature tells the origin story of Ladybug and her sidekick, Cat Noir — aka Parisian teenagers Marinette and Adrien. The two must defeat a supervillain who’s unleashing chaos on the City of Light — but only if they can learn to work as a team. (Added bonus: Check out these deleted scenes!)

Marinette, a shy and clumsy high school student at Collège Françoise Dupont in Paris, dreams of becoming a great fashion designer. But soon, she ends up finding love and her real destiny — to save the world as the superhero Ladybug along with her sidekick, Cat Noir. The only problem? Cat Noir is the son of Gabriel, Marinette’s fashion idol — aka Hawk Moth, Ladybug’s nemesis.
