Global superstar and multi-time Grammy Award winner Ed Sheeran invites you on a trip through one of the busiest cities in the world in a music experience unlike any other. ONE SHOT with Ed Sheeran, now streaming Netflix, is an ambitious project from Emmy Award–winning director Philip Barantini, Fulwell Entertainment, and Emmy Award-winning producer Ben Winston.

Barantini, who notably shot each episode of the Emmy Award–winning Adolescence in a single continuous take, brought the same captivating filmmaking technique to this music experience. Sheeran takes viewers along as he spends one afternoon traveling the streets of NYC while performing his greatest hits — playing impromptu gigs on sidewalks and in the subway, interacting with fans and unsuspecting passersby, and even plays the soundtrack to a proposal. And it was all captured in a single take.

Carefully choreographed and planned down to the second, Barantini relied on a team of nearly 1,000 individuals to pull off a oner like no other. “Every single person was integral to making this happen, and making it work,” he tells Tudum. “To catch a glimpse of the sheer effort that went into this shoot, and the talent required in pulling it off, go behind the scenes of ONE SHOT and hear from Barantini and Sheeran about the process.
