The ‘Stranger Things’ Cast Just Keeps Breaking in Season 4 Blooper Reel

Count how many times Steve and Robin say “boobies.”

    Sept. 24, 2022

Thought you were done running up that hill with the Stranger Things cast? Think again, because your beloved Hawkins heroes are back to unveil the Season 4 blooper reel just in time for Netflix’s global fan event, Tudum 2022.

Hawkins, Indiana, can be quite the scary place when you’re spending your days fending off Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower) and his Demobat minions. As Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) tells Upside Down novice Eddie (Joe Quinn) in Season 4: Calling Hawkins cursed isn’t… way off. But that’s all the more reason to take the load off in between takes.

Some choice highlights from this season’s outtakes? Well, in a scene with Maya HawkeJoe Keery says he couldn’t wait for this very blooper reel “where they get us saying ‘boobies’ 100 times” as they film the car ride where Robin spills to Steve about her crush on Vickie (Amybeth McNulty). See if you can count just how many times they do, indeed, say “boobies.”

Millie Bobby Brown also takes a moment to do a groovy dance in Eleven’s hazmat suit and turns to look at the camera, amused, when Paul Reiser (who plays Dr. Sam Owens) can’t help but laugh at Matthew Modine (Dr. Brenner) during a very serious conversation. She also almost bites Charlie Heaton (Jonathan) while she lies in a makeshift salt bath in the Surfer Boy Pizza kitchen.

Meanwhile, David Harbour (Hopper) gives everyone a brief scare after his head gets shaved in a Russian prison camp, as he jokingly asks: “Wait, you guys didn’t shave my head, did you?! Oh, fu… ”

Over in his mind lair, Vecna taunts Nancy (Natalia Dyer) with visions of Hawkins’ future, causing her to scream, “No!” only for him to goad her mercilessly by saying, “Yes,” before both Bower and Dyer burst into laughter.

And in the Hawkins High cafeteria, Quinn breaks character after a take where he sarcastically asks if Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) is playing in the championship basketball game. “Too much, end there!” he says with a laugh. Quinn had previously joked with Tudum that after finishing a take, he often runs up to the Duffer brothers and suggests which takes to use. “They both go, ‘Fuck off,’” he said.
