Third time’s the harm: Production is officially underway near Dublin on Wednesday Season 3. In the breathlessly dreaded next chapter of Netflix’s most-viewed series of all time, a new wave of insidious interlopers will be darkening the doors of Nevermore Academy.

In a new asset teasing the start of production, you’re invited to a welcome feast for newcomers Winona Ryder (Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Stranger Things), Chris Sarandon (Dog Day Afternoon, The Princess Bride), Noah Taylor (Peaky Blinders, Game of Thrones), Oscar Morgan (A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Gotham Knights), and Kennedy Moyer (Task, Roofman). They’ll join previously announced cast member Eva Green, who’ll be portraying Ophelia, the long-lost sister of Morticia Addams.

As for the other unfortunate arrivals, our lips are stitched shut about the nefarious roles they may play. However, showrunners Al Gough and Miles Millar tease, “It’s our dark delight to fling open Nevermore Academy’s gates once more as we begin production on Season 3. We thank our invincible cast and crew for their continued commitment to doom and gloom. To the fans, we appreciate your patience and ravenous online commentary — your twisted theories have inspired nightmares. This season, we welcome new students, new teachers, and excavate some long-rotting Addams Family secrets. Don’t say you weren’t warned.”

And always fear: Many of your favorites will return, including Jenna Ortega (Wednesday Addams), Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia Addams), Luis Guzmán (Gomez Addams), and more. Executive producer and director Tim Burton tells Tudum, “I’m so excited to be back for Season 3, and it’s great to be reunited with all of the original cast. The addition of some dear friends and past collaborators of mine — Winona, Eva, Chris, and Noah — makes this season extra special. I feel very lucky.”
The worst is yet to come. Check back with Tudum as we dig up more clues about Wednesday Season 3. And if you can’t tear your eyes away, linger on Seasons 1 and 2, streaming now.
