Enter A HOUSE OF DYNAMITE, Kathryn Bigelow’s New Thriller

The Oscar-winning filmmaker tackles a crisis in her latest film.

    Oct. 24, 2025

A HOUSE OF DYNAMITE is the latest dramatic thriller from the Oscar-winning director of The Hurt Locker, Zero Dark Thirty, and more — and it’s streaming on Netflix right now.

Directed by Kathryn Bigelow and written by Noah Oppenheim (who tackled the White House earlier this year in the limited series Zero Day), A HOUSE OF DYNAMITE is a sharp and visceral new story. “The thing you know about a Kathryn Bigelow film is that everything will be impactful. You are a part of a journey that is impactful,” star Rebecca Ferguson tells Tudum Magazine. “The whole experience of how she films, that is the thrill. The process of being in her environment — that's exciting.”

Bigelow has been thinking about this subject matter for nearly her entire life. “I grew up at a time when we were asked to hide under our desks in the event of a nuclear blast, which of course would do nothing,” she tells Netflix. “But between then and now, it feels like the nuclear issue has been normalized. It's gone quiet. And yet we're still living in a world filled with dynamite.”

Read on for more newly declassified information about the film, including new photos of Ferguson, Anthony Ramos, and Gabriel Basso in action.
