Elites navigate the world as if rules don’t apply to them, and sexual assault allegations are no different. But in the upcoming Netflix series Anatomy of a Scandal, Britain’s most privileged are in for a rude awakening.

From the creator of Big Little Lies and The Undoing, Anatomy of a Scandal is a six-part British psychological thriller based on the bestselling Sarah Vaughan novel of the same name. The synopsis reads: “James [Rupert Friend] and Sophie Whitehouse [Sienna Miller] live in a blissful and rarified world. A minister in Parliament, with a loving family at home, James’ trajectory appears without limits. Until a scandalous secret suddenly comes to light. Barrister Kate Woodcroft [Michelle Dockery] has a trajectory of her own, and her prosecution threatens to tear into Westminster, the Whitehouse marriage and her own personal esteem.”

The trailer, set to a spooky cover of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs song “Heads Will Roll,” features a distraught Miller struggling with the implications of the allegations. “I know my husband; he’s a good man,” she says, but she sounds as if she’s trying to convince herself. Denial drives her, seemingly by a need for normalcy rather than intuition.

And if all this sounds a little too intense, perhaps a deliciously cutting Dockery in a barrister’s wig can sweeten the deal.

Anatomy of a Scandal premieres April 15.
