





What would you do if Chris Hemsworth wanted to play mind games with you? Welcome to Spiderhead, an upcoming psychological thriller that’s Black Mirror meets Shutter Island.
You won’t find bars, orange jumpsuits or even handcuffs in this state-of-the-art penitentiary. Instead of entering a typical sentence, convicts can choose to undergo experimental drug trials by having a surgically attached device administer dosages of mind-altering substances. But what exactly are the effects of these drugs?




In this exclusive teaser, we see subjects Jess (Miles Teller) and Heather (Tess Haubrich) sitting in an idyllic and sunny room — a stark contrast from the dark control center where mastermind Steve Abnesti (Hemsworth) is monitoring them. As he asks Jess and Heather about their attraction toward each other, Steve pushes them to their limits by increasing the drug dosage until they can’t keep their hands off each other. This is no love potion, however...
Based on George Saunders’ short story “Escape from Spiderhead,” originally published in The New Yorker, the film is directed by Joseph Kosinski (TRON: Legacy, Top Gun: Maverick) and written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (Deadpool, Zombieland).
