Just like an episode of Squid Game, Tudum: A Netflix Global Fan Event is full of surprises.
In a new unreleased clip from Season 1 of the Korean thriller series, things get a little fishy. An unidentified man walks into an apartment building carrying a bag of goldfish, then pours them into a glass bowl. As he bends down to watch them swim, someone else is observing him from outside the window. What does it mean?

If there’s one thing director Hwang Dong-hyuk is going to do, it’s hide secret meanings throughout each episode. As fans have come to realize, Hwang’s many Easter eggs often allude to larger plot points in the show. “How would the audience take this? Would they think of it as nonsense? Wouldn’t they find it ridiculous?” Hwang recently told Tudum. In the series, players are trapped in an arena as they’re being watched by others for pleasure — much like an actual fishbowl.
Whatever your interpretation of this scene may be, there’s no denying that it’s quite eerie — and it goes to show you never know whose eyes are following your every move.
With five distinct celebrations, Tudum: A Netflix Global Fan Event includes first-look photos, never-before-seen footage, new trailers, behind-the-scenes access, celebrity appearances, interviews and more from over 100 of your favorite series, films and specials.
