Even a series about grief, car crashes and murder occasionally has to provide an uplifting moment for its audience. Enter Dead to Me’s James Marsden, who dropped by Tudum 2022 with a “special gift” for fans in the form of a sneak peek of Season 3. With five distinct celebrations, Tudum: A Netflix Global Fan Event includes first-look photos, never-before-seen footage, new trailers, behind-the-scenes access, celebrity appearances, interviews, and more from over 100 of your favorite series, films and specials.
The final outing of the dark comedy wraps up the story of two friends with a growing rap sheet: Jen (Christina Applegate) and Judy (Linda Cardellini), whose lives are entangled with Bad Twin Steve (RIP by bludgeoning/drowning) and Good Twin Ben (both played by Marsden). “You’re going to want to see how this one ends,” Marsden promises.

But first, a rapid-fire recap: Judy (accidentally) kills Jen’s husband; Judy contrives to meet Jen in a widow support group; Jen (purposefully) kills Judy’s boyfriend, Steve, and buries his body in her meat freezer; Jen confesses to a detective and, assuming she’ll be imprisoned, leaves letters for Judy and her two sons; the detective lets off Jen with a warning (after all, Steve was a horrible human); and in a call-back to Season 1, Ben hits Jen and Judy’s car and drives off.
We knew that Ben survived this hit and run, but in Season 3 🤐 SPOILER ALERT 🤐, Jen and Judy receive shocking news and are ready to risk their lives for a friendship that’s above the law. The first glimpse of Season 3 reveals that both women live (for now), although one is in much better shape than the other. True to character, Jen, in a gurney and neck brace, isn’t suffering in silence. Lest you think the series has lost any of its edge, Jen, Judy and a nurse drop six f-bombs in the course of 14 seconds.
Scour the teaser for more clues and California house porn. Dead to Me wraps up its run soon.
